Milestones
Signed a sale and purchase agreement with a third party for the disposal of the entire equity interest in Guangdong (Panyu) Petrochemical Storage & Transportation ("GD (Panyu)"). On 28 May, the Company completed the disposal of GD (Panyu). Later that year, the Company acquired a 99% equity interest in Shanghai Diyou Industry Co., Ltd. ("Shanghai Diyou"), obtained the Wholesale Operation Permit for Refined Oil Products issued by the Ministry of Commerce of China, and formally commenced wholesale and trading of petroleum and petrochemical products.
Construction began on the Zengcheng filling station.
The Dongzhou petrochemical storage terminal and 粵海物流中心 commenced operations to diversify the business. In the years that followed, the Company actively built up crude oil trading and expanded into LNG/LPG operations.
Construction began on the 粵海固體化學品倉庫及物流中心(「粵海物流中心」).
Formally renamed "Hans Energy Company Limited" to reflect its existing business and future development focus. In the same year, the Dongzhou petrochemical storage terminal, located on Lisha Island, Shatian Port Area, Humen Port, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and construction began.
The Company underwent a corporate restructuring and a change in controlling shareholding. At the end of 2004, the Company successfully acquired 小虎石化廠 while divesting its paper packaging business, transforming the Group's business into petrochemical storage and terminal operations.
Hans Energy Company Limited is incorporated in the Cayman Islands and listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (stock code: 554). Its current brand, "Hans Energy", has been in use since 2005.
