Citybus

Citybus, the flagship brand of Hans Group, is a leader in Hong Kong's public transport market. We are Hong Kong Island's largest franchised bus operator and the second-largest franchised bus operator in Kowloon and the New Territories, serving over one million passengers daily under government franchises.

We hold strategic monopoly positions on airport and cross-boundary routes — segments that delivered strong profitability in FY2024, with pre-tax margins of 44% and 47% respectively. Our open-top sightseeing bus business, operated under the "Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus" brand, achieved a 38% margin, reinforcing our strength in high-yield transport services.

Citybus is also a leader in Hong Kong's new-energy public transport. We introduced Hong Kong's first electric double-decker bus in 2022, built Hong Kong's first hydrogen refuelling station in 2023, and launched the world's first three-axle hydrogen fuel cell double-decker bus in 2024. Our goal is to achieve a fully new-energy fleet by 2045 — five years ahead of the government's roadmap.
